“Georgia has a broken workers’ compensation system. It requires workers to hire attorneys, otherwise employers may disenfranchise them.”

– Cynthia Ruff

Cynthia Ruff is the complete package: a workers’ compensation paralegal of 17 years with experience managing a personal injury law firm. She cites the broken workers’ compensation system in Georgia as the number one reason she was drawn to the workers’ comp field of law. Her start in the legal field and in the areas of personal injury and workers’ comp began with her position as a legal assistant and case intake coordinator for a personal injury firm in Decatur, Georgia.

While working in that capacity for the next 2 years, she earned her Associate of Science from Dekalb Technical College in 2002. After which she served in the capacity of a worker’s compensation paralegal for the next 13 years at the very same firm. Her unmatched expertise in workers’ comp, combined with her ability to effectively work and maintain cases in the absence and transition of attorneys led to her promotion to Firm Administrator in 2016.

In this position she was responsible for the management of the firm which employed more than thirteen staff members and four associate attorneys. It is this unparalleled career experience and management skills that she brings to the diverse group of professionals at Benzo Law firm. When Cynthia is not working, she loves to cook for her family, and enjoys the company of her granddaughter and grandson.
